Treatment TechniquesWe are often asked what sort of treatments we offer at the clinic. Our approach to physiotherapy is very much a 'hands on' approach as from experience we feel this is the most effective way to make people better, more quickly. Here is a list of the types of treatment we offer:
Professional AcupunctureOur resident professional acupuncturist Danielle Croft is available and on-site to offer Traditional Acupuncture.Acupuncture works by rebalancing a person's vital energy, their 'Qi'. Acupuncture stimulates the body and mind to heal itself as far as possible. It is beneficial for a wide variety of physical as well as emotional complaints such as: Digestive disorders to grief, from asthma to fertility, and from worry to insomnia. Acupuncture can help both emotional and physical complaints. If you would like to find out more about Acupuncture please do not hesitate to call Danielle on 07984 166762 for a chat, or to book an appointment. This is a deep yet gentle and relaxing massage technique of the abdomen and lower back.
The massage works on freeing up muscular tension held in the belly and sacral area (base of the spine and tail-bone), improving blood and lymph flow, improving nerve function, and helping to realign abdominal organs, particularly the Large Intestine, Small Intestines, and Uterus. This massage is fantastic for:
New! Holistic MassageDanielle gained her Holistic Massage qualification earlier this year, she is excited to now be able to offer massage at the clinic in addition to acupuncture.Danielle studied holistic massage, which is a truly relaxing and de-stressing experience. Perfect to help you unwind and help encourage good sleep. This full body massage works on the face and neck, arms and hands, legs and feet, and back using oil and classical massage movements. Deep massage can be incorporated. A Holistic Massage Treatment itself lasts roughly an hour, please allow one and a half hours to be in the treatment room. Danielle then went on to learn some more advanced massage techniques to work deeper with muscle adhesions. This may benefit those who need deeper work for specific areas of tightness in their back and shoulders. A standard massage treatment focuses on alleviating tension rather than relaxation, with the treatment time being around 40 minutes, please allow an hour to be in the treatment room.
